Standards Intern – Research and Development Department (2280)
The overall purpose of the job is to assist the standards manager to protect Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd products from being disadvantaged in the market place from short-term changes in legislation. Report to internal departments new or proposed medium to long-term changes in both regulations and standards which would influence the design and direction that future appliances and technologies should take.

Role Responsibilities:
- Communicate proposed changes in standards and legislation to a cross functional team of experts
- Processing and archiving incoming information about changes to standards and legislation by e-mail or internet
- Interaction with national & international trade bodies and standards committees
- Researching proposed changes to standards and legislation
- Tracking the progress of changes to standards and legislation. Tracking Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd. cross functional actions required in response to these changes
- Administration in support of the standards manager.
The Person:
- Currently at University in the second year of degree looking to do a placement for 12 months or minimum of 6 months
- Team Player – good inter-relationship skills
- Willingness to learn
- Customer focus – right first time, diligent, accurate
- Structured approach to work, ability to summarise information
- Comfortable to work without immediate supervision during periods of absence of manager
- Computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
- Good attention to detail, decision making and problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate confidently with personnel from all levels of the business
